Abstract
Siargao Island, the surfing capital of the Philippines, is said to be one of the country’s widely visited tourist destinations.As one key factor toward the economic prosperity of the province, this has bridged multiple opportunities and challenges –business investments, industry linkages, and employment among Filipinos locally and abroad. Hence, the study was conducted to forecast the influx of international tourist arrivals in Siargao Island, Province of Surigao del Norte from year 2012 to 2025 and its impact toward critical aspects in the community. On data analysis, the study employed the principles of symbolic regression utilizing the Eureqa Software. As forecasted, based on fluctuating trend, it was found out that Siargao Island shall continually experience a major inflow of tourist arrivals and it is increasing per annum.
