Abstract

In recent years, high voltage overhead transmission line wind partial flashover accidents occur frequently, it seriously affected the power system safe and stable operation. The reason may lie in the fact that the calculation accuracy of the wind deflection angle and the minimum air clearance is not enough, it will lead to the tower design considerations are not sufficient, so now the transmission line will be real-time monitoring in order to get more realistic data. In this paper, the calculation of the minimum air clearance under the traditional wind angle and two-dimensional model is described first. Then, a real-time three-dimensional model of the minimum air clearance is proposed for the real-time monitoring system. And the model is compared with the two-dimensional model to verify its accuracy.
