Abstract

Three-by-five cards, an opaque projector, and an ice pick can be used to develop a workable technique for giving tests, grading them, and storing test questions for future use. These three elements also permitted the summer school students of two remedial mathematics classes to progress at their own rate without the assignment of a specific text.
