Abstract

A numerous set of experimentally measured fusion excitation functions was analysed in the framework of the Thomas-Huizenga-Igo model with transmission coefficients calculated in the parabolic approximation. It is shown that the fusion data provide very valuable information about the nucleus-nucleus interaction which can be used, particularly, for verification of different theoretical potentials.
