7From this it should not be assumed that there were no positive and beneficent ideals present in these years. Many persons forgot their personal problems and selfishness and gave themselves to the greater cause of devotion to the nation and a broad among the youth of the nation and a corresponding increase in the number of delinquent acts in the teen-age groups. Summary. War, directly and indirectly, tends to create conditions which cause an increase in juvenile delinquency within a nation. This is shown by the large number of court cases in England and Wales during the War years. Cases increased rapidly in I934 as a result of the long time influence of World War I.
