Abstract

ABSTRACT Temperature-dependent constitutive differential equations are derived for the dynamic behavior of a strain-rate sensitive plastic material that does not exhibit strain-rate history effects. The corresponding material parameters for AISI 316H are obtained from the experimental results of Al-bertini et al. [1-3]. The proposed constitutive relations could be used in present finite element codes to obtain the dynamic response of structures under intense, short-duration loadings.
