A tell of unexpected: Extramedullary plasmacytoma of the thyroid Gland Challenging Diagnosis and radical management

Abstract

Background: Extramedullary plasmacytoma (SEP) of the thyroid gland is a rare condition. Nearly 0.4% of all head and neck cancers result from SEP [1].Here, we present a case of an extramedullary plasmacytoma of the thyroid gland in patient with Hypothyroidism. This patient presented with a challenging clinical, radiological and histopathological picture requires extensive workup to establish the diagnosis and commence the proper management.
