Abstract

Excess residual luting cement must be removed meticulously to avoid postoperative complications.1-3 Various methods have been used to accomplish the removal of excess residual luting cement from interdental areas when cementing a fixed partial denture (FPD), including the use of dental floss, interproximal brushes, and nylon ligatures.4-6 However, preventing the entrapment of residual cement underneath the pontic area is challenging, especially in recent extraction sites and hard- and soft-tissue irregularities.
