Abstract

We developed the foot pressure distribution measuring system to analyze the mechanics of human standing and walking, by means of photoelasticity. Particularly, rapid and complicated changes in contact area and pressure during and dynamic action of walking constitute a very difficult problem. Using this measuring system, as it seemed to be possible to obtain both the direction and intensity of he contact foot pressure by circular isochromatic pattern, we developed experimental equations using the experimental data.
