Abstract

From end-to-end strategy and router congestion control, an ECN-based and enhanced-fairness TCP-friendly congestion control mechanism (EETCC) is proposed in this paper. The sender can adjust the sending rate of UDP flows by TCP response function, and have good TCP-friendly and send data flows smoothly. The router is early notified to the sender using ECN, and can response to congestion fleetly. This mechanism adopted ERED algorithm to improve the situation where the bandwidth is influenced by packet size in the router. EETCC can enhance fairness of link bandwidth allotment, and guarantee quality of service of the special applications. The simulations validate that EETCC flows share the bandwidth of bottle-neck links with TCP flows.
