Abstract

In this paper, based on the idea of combination of TCM and MC-CDMA systems with multiple reception antennas, a new multi-carrier CDMA?MC-CDMA? scheme, called TCM-SIMO- (Single-Input-Multiple-Output) -MC-CDMA is proposed. Channel coding gains of the proposed system are obtained by applying TCM to increase the minimum Euclidean distance between spreading codes. Multiple reception antennas help to distinguish signals from different users using the same group of codes, and at the same time, receive diversity is offered. Simulation and theory analysis results show that, TCM-SIMO-MC-CDMA system outperforms both TCM-SISO-MC-CDMA system and UC (Un-Coded)-SIMO-MC-CDMA in terms of bit error rate (BER).
