Abstract

A Tale of Two Sisters represents an attempt to portray different approaches to organizational situations through creative story telling. A small but growing number of writers in the field of public administration have used creative writing to capture the interest of bureaucrats. Stories are powerful in that they can fire the imagination of the reader and provide an experience that is both enjoyable and meaningful. Acceptance of story teling and creative writing in public administration allows for new and different talent to participate in defining what it means to be a public administrator. Creative writing is also an excellent vehicle for connecting the teachings of different disciplines and belief systems in a metaphorical way.
