Abstract

A T-shaped metallic plate can stabilize the hip bone fragments at the bottom of the cotyloid cavity (on its medial side). The shape of the plate follows the shape of the bone in the region between the cavity and the tuber of the sciatic bone. The plate is applied to the pubic, iliac, and ischial bones in the region of the small pelvis, which is especially difficult for surgical intervention. The three ends of the plate are attached to the hip bone fragments with screws. The plate is used in patients with horizontal peracetabular fractures with considerable dislocation. The implant described in this work increases the flexibility of surgical treatment of isolated and combined injuries of pelvis. It is especially useful in case of injuries of intrapelvic organs.
