Abstract

Background and Aims: The prevalence of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) has been increasing due to aging population and the manifestation of risk factors such as smoking, and diabetes mellitus with its related vascular complications. Critical limb ischaemia may be resulted when PAD progress. The treatment of critical limb ischaemia such as limb salvage may carry significant burdens to the patients and impacts their quality of life. The objective of this study is to review the impacts of quality of life after revascularization for patients with critical limb ischaemia based on the empirical evidences.
