Abstract

Review question/objective: The objective is to identify the experiences of undergraduate nursing students choosing to study at an English speaking university outside their homeland Inclusion criteria: Types of participants: This review will focus on international undergraduate CALD and EAL nursing students,who are studying at English-speaking universities outside their homeland. Both male and female nursing students of any age will be considered, from any national or ethnicbackground. Types of intervention(s)/phenomena of interest: This review will consider studies that describe the experiences of international undergraduate CALD and EAL nursing students, studying outside their homeland. These experiences may include personal challenges, such as cultural and racial issues, communication difficulties, social isolation and separation from family and loved ones, as well as identified strengths such as personal resilience in the face of adversity, potential career opportunities and increase in social status.
