Abstract

Introduction: Pectoralis major rupture had less than 100 reported cases in the literature before the year 2000, although there has been an increase in the literature in recent years. However, most of these studies are small case series. The purpose of this study is to systematically review the literature to assess the clinical outcomes, return to sport and complications following pectoralis major repair. Our hypothesis was that pectoralis major repair would result in excellent clinical outcomes, a high rate of return to sport and a low complication rate.
