Abstract

Characteristics of non resonance linear slotted- waveguide array of a system of longitudinal slots in a rectangular waveguide with a dielectric slab parallel to its narrow walls are investigated. The case is considered when the deceleration wave is shorter than the one in free space. The adequacy to the real physical processes of our mathematical model was checked experimentally. It is shown that a slotted-waveguide array on the basis of a dielectric slab waveguide occurs more broadband than a slotted-waveguide array of the same electrical length and based on a hollow waveguide.
