Abstract
1. An automated information retrieval system has been created and placed in service for the strength characteristics of materials. 2. In the system the characteristics determined by the principles of the unit and the norms of calculation for atomic power station materials combined by general principles of the presentation of information are presented. 3. The organizational principles of the system make it possible to broaden its functional possibilities in information and in mathematical provisions and also to use it not only for reference but also as a system of a higher type, an information-logic system. 4. The system is accomplished on a minicomputer, which is economical and promising in light of modern concepts of the use of computer technology.
