Abstract

A chromatographic system is described in which amounts of about one mole of hydrogen containing tritium at very low levels can be enriched 40 times with 100 per cent tritium recovery. The system is based on previous work by the authors with smaller samples and has been tried successfully at 10 −13 mole per cent tritium concentrations. It appears useful to concentrate samples for measuring purposes when these are available only in up to one mole quantities.
