Abstract

Data on the creation of a process control system (PCS) at the heat treatment bay of the cold rolling shop of the Nytva Company are presented. The bay is equipped with bell-type electric furnaces for annealing cold-rolled steel ribbon and bimetals of various compositions. The automatic system for control of the annealing furnaces based on IBM-compatible industrial controllers is discussed as well as the problems of the enterprise solved with the help of the PCS. The operation of the system is considered from the moment of commissioning of the system. The new possibilities of control of the production process are outlined.
