Abstract

Synthetic wideband high-resolution range profile is one of the important fields and it has great prospect in the field of imaging and feature extraction. In this paper, a synthetic wideband profiling method for high-speed target based on echo model inversion is proposed. Base on the derivation of echo model, the influence of target high-speed motion is analyzed and concluded in three aspects: the intrapulse Doppler modulation, the range migration and the modulation factor. The influence of the intrapulse Doppler modulation and the range migration could be well compensated and eliminated after obtaining the high accurate phase-derived velocity measurement results. In order to suppress the influence of modulation factor, a novel matched reference signal containing the modulation factor is constructed and applied in the matched filtering process. After that, the proposed wideband synthesis algorithm is presented. Simulations are conducted to verify the proposed method and high quality focused high-resolution range profiles are obtained.
