Abstract

The authors propose new low-sensitivity digital filter structures which are also suited for pipeline processing. The approach involves the synthesis of digital two-port circuits with structurally induced losslessness. The structures are synthesized by factoring lossless scattering matrices, and constructed using the T-cascade connection of basic sections, instead of the Pi -cascade connection. Each lossless factor is realized by a first- or second-order wave digital lattice filter. The proposed structures can realize the amplitude responses of any given transfer functions. >
