Abstract

The La2O3–B2O3–ZnO (LBZ) and V2O5–CuO (VC) glasses were co-doped to the Ca0.6La0.268TiO3 (CLT) ceramics as the sintering aids. The effects of LBZ and VC glasses on the low temperature sintering characteristics, phase composition, microstructure, activation energy and dielectric properties of CLT ceramics were investigated systematically. The results show that the synergistic effect of the LBZ and VC co-doped glasses can greatly reduce the sintering temperature of CLT from 1350 to 900 °C with excellent microwave dielectric properties, attributing to the reduction of the activation energy (Ea) of the CLT with co-doped glasses. Typically, CLT ceramics with 3 wt% LBZ and 1 wt% VC sintered at 900 °C/4 h exhibited good microwave dielectric properties of er = 98.94, Q × f = 4885 GHz (f = 3.25 GHz) and τf = 305.17 ppm/°C.
