Abstract

An outdoor high-power stationary generator, which forms standard switching aperiodic high- and superhigh-voltage pulses of a 250 μs/2500 μs time form with tolerances normalized in accordance with the interstate GOST 1516.2-97 at an actively-inductive load, is described. The descriptions of design and structural solutions are given, which allow one to obtain in field conditions aperiodic positive-polarity voltage pulses with the time T rs ≈ 205 μs of reaching their amplitude U m up to 2 MV and with the 0.5U m -level pulse time τpl ≈ 1900 μs at a long discharge air gap of the needle-plane two-electrode system.
