Abstract

Low operational amplifier (op-amp) gain can degrade the performance of a switched-capacitor delta-sigma modulator ( Delta Sigma M). A Delta Sigma M that incorporates a new gain-compensated switched-capacitor integrator is described. The resulting Delta Sigma M topology has reduced sensitivity to op-amp gain. Simulation and measurement results for an experimental Delta Sigma M that demonstrate the advantages of the new architecture are presented. >
