Abstract

Introduction: Bullying is the misuse of power and old-known phenomena. The aim of this survey is Standardization of Olweus Bullying Questionnaire in Iran.Methods: This is a descriptive survey which addresses Standardization of Olweus Bullying Questionnaire. To determine the reliability of the questionnaire, 28 students (16 girls and 12 boys) were tested .The scores of the above test was obtained using test-retest method and Cronbach›s alpha, and its correlation is analyzed by SPSS software to answer the researchs′ questions. The significance level was considered P < 0.05.Results: The correlation coefficient of twice implementation of the test in the section of «general questions about victimhood, bullying and attitude toward bullying» are all significant (P < 0.05), except for subscale of victimization in groups of boys and girls .The results reveal that there is a significant correlation between subscales of victimization/bullying in the sample and group of boys. This value was not significant in the group of girls.Conclusions: Overall, the evidence shows that the Olweus bullying questionnaire has proper psychometric properties and can be used in Iranian population.
