Abstract

Information Technology (IT) in the present era has affectedall aspects of organizations as a new strategy; therefore imagine anorganization without IT and keeping abreast with new technologies seemsimpossible. The current research seeks to identify factors affecting theadoption of IT innovation in governmental organizations. To this end theindices affecting IT Innovation adoption have been extracted afterreviewing theoretical background and categorized in 5 factors usingExploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Also Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA) based on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) has been used toinvestigate the relation between indices and factors. Research Findingsshow that indices like relative advantage & innovativeness, security &reliability, organizational culture, managerial support, socio-economicstatus and cooperation & coordination among organization departmentsplay an important role in IT Innovating adoption.
