Abstract
There is exceptional growth in the research of data mining and its application. Data Mining is a procedure to extract fruitful knowledge which is hidden in large amounts of data. In recent years, due to increase in Data Mining techniques and its application the disclosure risk of sensitive information of released data is also increased because of this disclosure a research topic in data mining known as privacy preserving data mining (PPDM) is gaining popularity. The goal of PPDM is to provide security to sensitive information by modifying raw data in such a way that the data mining algorithm cannot extract that information. In this survey paper we will discuss a topic of data mining known as association rule mining and techniques to hide sensitive rules which are mined through data mining.
