Abstract

The leaf-blade anatomy of the tribes Pommereulleae, Orcuttieae and Pappophoreae was investigated by examining at least one species belonging to each genus. The technique used for preparing the specimens is the same as that described previously for the study of the Andropogoneae, see Kew Bulletin 37: 315 (1982). For help with the preparation and diagnosis of the slides I am grateful to Miss Carol Thomas.
