Abstract
This paper discussed the problems of human face detection, analyzed, classified and evaluated the methods for human face detection. It elaborated the face detection methods from the perspectives of external structure feature and interior statistical feature. The advantages and disadvantages of the methods are analyzed and finally the further research direction of human face detection is put forward.
