A survey of deterministic time delay traffic flow models

Abstract

We first present from the literature the source of time delay , its physical interpretations and mathematical nature , and how it appears in traffic models. Next, a survey from the perspective of time-delayed traffic models is presented, which is new to authors' knowledge. Finally, some problems arising in stability, control and robustness of traffic flow in presence of delays are pointed out for future work.
