Abstract

Women murderers make up a substantial proportion of today's women criminals. Taking as an example the No. 18 Labor Reform Brigade where most of the women criminals in this province are detained (60 percent of all women criminals in this province are held here), 217, or 26.02 percent of all the women detainees, are murderers. This indicates that intensifying research into the crimes of women murderers is of major significance for the comprehensive management and prevention of women's criminality. The author attempts to conduct a simple analysis of the particularities of, and reasons for, the crime of murder by women, on the basis of a survey of 217 women murderers.
