A survey base study about the effectiveness of smart home applications in Pakistan

Abstract

People in Pakistan are still confused whether they accept smart home technologies and applications in their daily life or not. In this study base survey, the opinion of randomly 155 people 87 males and 68 females about smart homes were collected by both ways Personal Survey and Online survey in our region. We realized that all people have different opinion that how they define term “smart home” and at what time “smart home” will be used in their real lives. According to this study 98% of people who participated in our survey and we considered their opinion to be slightly more optimistic about smart homes. We realized that the most of the responses who were being interested in resourceful “smart home” technologies and willing to live in houses containing them. We also found that they are worry about the cost if it increases more than 1000Rs/Month; also they worried about the maintenance and about easiness use of these applications. In this study we will show the detailed questions and the statistical analysis on the basis of this survey. Finally, we will propose different suggestions how to facilitate people of Pakistan to bring smart home applications in their life.
