Abstract
Since November 12, wall posters in Beijing have registered a big leap in their number of publications. With their varied contents, they have shocked the nation and the whole world. The place where wall posters are concentrated is called "Xi-dan Democracy Wall." At the climax, every day from daybreak to late at night an average of 40,000 people would go there by turns to read and copy the wall posters and organize speeches. Over the last two months, representative wall post ers have been addressed to the following topics: (1) Comments on the "Tien An Men Incident" in 1976 and mourning the beloved late Premier Zhou.
