Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the results obtained by Municipal School in large-scale external assessments, such as SAEB. It is a qualitative and quantitative investigation, using documentary research and data analysis methodology. Furthermore, we will evaluate the changes in the school’s pedagogical practices to understand the modifications made by the school to achieve a prominent position in IDEB results. The research will demonstrate that there are several changes that a school needs to make in relation to traditional pedagogy to achieve excellent performance in IDEB and will indicate that the use of active methodologies enabled the gradual improvement of the school’s indicators.
