Abstract
ECHO soundings, made on the Marine Biological Association‘s research vessel Sabella, have revealed a submarine cliff, suggesting an ancient shore line, about two miles south-south-west magnetic from Plymouth Breakwater Lighthouse (see record reproduced). The height of the cliff at the section is about 33 ft., its foot rests at about 22 fathoms below the level of low water springs, while the gradient is of the order 1 in 3.
