Abstract

The present study was conducted to assess the level of knowledge regarding ethical sensitivity of patients care among nursing students at selected college at Puducherry. The study was descriptive research design was selected. A total of 100 patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected from the SMVNC (Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College)at Puducherry by using Convenient Sampling technique. The correlation value of the of knowledge regarding ethical sensitivity of patients care among nursing students at SMVNC is It reveals that respect for individuals and distributive justice r value is 0.430, p value is P<0.001, Respect for individuals and Maintaining Patients confidentiality r value is 0.477, p value is P<0.001, Distributive justice and Maintaining patients confidentiality r value is 0.323, p value is P<0.001 Highly Significant. Need for the study Since the health care profession has a distinct culture, including its values, nurses who are coordinating the medicine team are frequently confronted with conflicting values, especially ethical problems. For that reason, as healthcare professionals, nurses are expected to display a prominent level of practical ethical skills and respect the values and rights of patients who need their professional care.
