Summary
Childbirth is the most decisive event in a women’s life. It is the most wonderful and joyful journey which a women experiences after childbirth. Oxytocin induces the uterus to contract even more and activates the let-down reflex, which releases milk from the breasts This has the side effect of causing extra stomach pain. The majority of women feel some level of pain and discomfort the causes are, uterine contractions, perineal lacerations, episiotomy, hemorrhoids, painful nipples, and breast engorgement. Postpartum contractions of the uterus as it shrinks back to its pre-pregnancy size and position create stomach cramps known as after pains. The investigator was inspired to conduct experimental research to depict the efficiency of Kegel exercise and prone position on reducing after pains and involution of the uterus among postnatal moms since the pain of uterine contractions (after pains) is a good indicator of pleasure [7]
