Abstract

In this paper, the application of attitude sensors to walking robots and its experiments are described. It is well known that the most important attitude sensor in animals is the vestibular apparatus consisting of the three semicircular canals and the utricle. The authors tried to control walking robots using artificial attitude sensors, such as angular displacement sensors, angular velocity sensors and linear acceleration sensors.
