Abstract
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 of India aims to transform the country's education system, emphasizing holistic development, innovation, and inclusivity. This abstract examines the relevance of Mahatma Gandhi's educational philosophy to the goals and principles outlined in the NEP 2020. Gandhi's emphasis on moral and character education, experiential learning, and community engagement resonates with several key aspects of the NEP. His concept of 'Nai Talim' (Basic Education) aligns with the NEP's focus on skill development, vocational training, and a multidisciplinary approach to learning.
