Abstract

In order to understand the situation of teacher work burnout and social support in rural middle schools in Shaoguan, as well as the relationship between work burnout and social support, the “Teacher Burnout Questionnaire” and “Social Support Rating Scale” were used to survey 170 rural middle school teachers in Shaoguan City. Then, the social science statistical software SPSS20.0 was used to perform statistics and analysis on the obtained data. First, a descriptive statistical analysis of work burnout and social support of Shaoguan rural middle school teachers found that their work burnout is not serious. Some teachers have more serious work burnout, which is mainly reflected in emotional exhaustion; teachers' overall social support is better. Secondly, a correlation analysis of rural middle school teachers' work burnout and social support found that there is a significant negative correlation between work burnout and social support, indicating that teachers' social support can help alleviate their work burnout. Finally, according to the research results, some countermeasures are proposed to alleviate and prevent the work burnout of rural middle school teachers.
