Abstract

There is an intimate connection between the style and mental feeling in product design and this connection is mostly impressed by visual sense. This journal focuses on the relationship between the users’ visual experience and the style of Chinese ancient artifacts. In Chinese traditional culture, mental feeling is of great importance among all kinds of activities and events. The writer analyzes this issue through three aspects including the relationship between human beings, between human and nature, and finally, between human and artifacts. Around the topic of this journal, 6 representative Chinese ancient artifacts are chosen as subjects. Firstly, the relationship between their style and visual experience is analyzed. Secondly, how the visual will change if their style are changed is analyzed. Through the study of these examples and contemporary culture background, some regulation , which could be useful for the modern product design, is concluded in this journal.
