Abstract
A series of model compounds of triazinyl reactive dyes was synthesized. The dihedral angles between the phenyl and triazinyl ring were calculated using PC Model software (Serena Software Co., USA). and the pseudo first order rate constants of hydrolysis were determined by HPLC. The relationship between steric effects and the reactivity of triazinyl reactive dyes are discussed.
