Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the motive for participation and the psychological happiness of jiu-jitsu participants. For this purpose, a total of 180 jiu-jitsu participants who were members of the jiu-jitsu Association were selected as research participants. ‘t-verification’, One Way-ANOVA and Scheffe were conducted to determine the difference between participation motivation and psychological happiness depending on individual characteristics. And to find out how the motivation of participation affects their psychological happiness, a correlation and regression analysis were conducted. The following conclusions were obtained from the analysis of the data through these methods of study : First, the motivation for participation was different depending on the personal characteristics of the participants. Second, there was a difference in psychological well-being depending on the personal characteristics of the participants. Third, the motivation of the participants to affected their psychological well-being.
