Abstract

This study finds out the competitive departure and arrival times of domestic maritime freight transportation service for shifting cargoes from other modes to it. The required conditions of them are grasped by making questionnaire about truck operators' intentions of using maritime freight transpor tation as a line-haul mode, especially between Kanto/Kansai and Kyushu. The ratios of the truck operators' intentions are very different depending on timetables, which are required by items and distribution systems.
