Abstract

This study aims at analyzing the possibilities of self-support program to local industries in the case of Daegu. For this, focusing on reviewing the literatures, the concepts and the relations about local industries and self-support programs were studied, and through empirical analysis, the possibilities to apply self-support programs to local industries were analyzed. The main results of the study are summarized as follows. First, for criteria to apply self-support program to local industries, five items such as inducing motive to work, possibility to create income, possibility to grow industries, proper skills, and appropriateness to region were selected. Second, for weighted values by each applied criteria, according to the analysis, possibilities to create income(0.3062) was highest, and proper skills(0.2155), inducing motive to work(0.1931), possibility to grow industries(0.1542), and appropriateness to region(0.1311) followed in order. Third, for the possibility to apply self-support program to Daegu local industries, according to the analysis, manufacturing clothing and accessaries was highest, and manufacturing leather, bags, and similar products, manufacturing precious metal and accessaries, manufacturing eyeglasses, photo devices, and other optical products, and manufacturing sewn clothing followed in order.
