This paper analyzes the influence of human capital on industrial structure adjustment with correlation data of Shanghai from 1978 to 2008. The result shows that human capital and industrial structure adjustment of Shanghai have a stable proportional relationship in a long term; in a short term, although the relationship between human capital and industrial structure adjustment is not as stable as that in a long term, the enhancement of human capital still does a great contribution to the adjustment of industrial structure.
