Abstract
"Design strategy for sustainable behavior" focuses on the environmental impact caused by user behavior in the process of product use. It is an important branch of green design research. The influencing factors of the effectiveness and acceptability of "design strategy for sustainable behavior" are still unclear. In this study, based on literature review, some hypotheses about the relationship between product dominance, strategy effectiveness, and user acceptance are proposed. The design, manufacture, and selection of experimental supplies is done to carry out experiments. Next, user interviews and correlation analysis are carried out based on experimental data. The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between product dominance and strategy effectiveness, and a significant negative correlation between product dominance and user acceptance. In addition to the level of product dominance, the price, appearance, interaction mode and the goal achievement degree of the design strategy also have a great influence on the "strategy effectiveness" and "user acceptance" . In addition, the mixed use of different levels of design strategies can simultaneously improve the effectiveness and user acceptance of sustainable behavior design strategies.
