Abstract

AbstractThe uniformity of steam injection profile along the horizontal wellbore plays an important role in the efficient development of heavy oil reservoirs. In order to study the influence law of steam injection profile of horizontal wells, the coupled reservoir-wellbore model with saturated steam injection was proposed by considering the structural characteristics of slotted liner. On the basis of proposed model, the influence of steam injection parameters and slotted liner parameters on the uniformity of steam injection profile was studied. The results indicate that during the steam injection process, the uniformity of the steam injection profile and steam chamber gradually decrease with the increase of the length of the slotted liner, the width of the slotted liner, steam injection pressure and the density of the slotted liner. With the increase of the steam quality, the uniformity of the steam injection profile and steam conformance gradually increase. To obtain a more uniform steam injection profile and steam chamber, it is recommended to use small steam injection pressure, high steam quality and small slotted liner parameters. This study is of great significance for improving the uniformity of steam injection profile along the horizontal wellbore and enhancing the development effect of heavy oil reservoirs.KeywordsHeavy oilSteam injection profileSteam chamberSlotted linerCoupled model
