Abstract

Women are considered the second better half of the society. Constitutionally their role in the society is equal to men. Unfortunately, that is not the reality at least in India. In today’s world, women entrepreneurs are playing very vital role and they have become important part of the global business environment and it’s really important for the sustained economic development and social progress. This paper investigates a women’s self-help group program in one of the areas of Mangalore Taluk of Dakshina Kannada. On the basis of this study some suggestions are given to encourage spirit of women empowerment to become a successful entrepreneur.
